A cupboard always consists of two parts: one part that contains and one part that closes off: six planes or planks. To open a cupboard one has to be able to remove, move or open at least one plane. By tradition, this plane is at the front of the cupboard. Does the "cupboard" image survive if we fix one plane, the door, to the wall and then open the whole by swinging out the other five planes?
