4+1, 1996

Four legs and one top. A sturdy construction on seemingly shaky legs.
The minimal form leaves function open, the piece can be used as stool or table.
The 4 legs that support the flat top are manually and organically planed. Each leg therefore differs from the rest.

Each leg has its own character, its own identity. In this way, the furniture maker is more than a maker of furniture;
the furniture maker is a designer as well.

A perfect application for 4+1 is as a seating element or side table.
Or put several 4+1's together to make a coffee table.
