Frits jeuris, potato chair, 2019
This casually draped piece of conveyor belt was born as a rigid sieve belt from a potato sorting machine. No one questioned the belt so the Potato Chair became a reality. Made of indestructible spring steel, the seating can be adjusted by draping the belt higher or lower over the frame.
Note. The original piece of conveyor belt was recovered out of a waste container.
When it was used up the manufacturer had to be located. They turned out to be Belgian too.
